The pump can be used in both double-acting and single-acting mode. In double-acting mode, it pumps both down and up. This is perfect for building volume. When you need to build pressure, switch to single-acting mode, so it only pumps when you press down, and you can use your body weight to pump. This makes it possible to inflate equipment up to 26 PSI.

The pump can also be used to deflate air. This makes it easier to get the last air out, and means that the SUP or dinghy takes up less space during storage.
