The product is water-soluble, contains corrosion protection, and helps protect pipes, tanks, pumps, valves, and other components from frost-related damage.

Effective frost and burst protection When temperatures drop below freezing, even small amounts of residual water in pipes and tanks can cause extensive freeze bursts. 1852 Antifreeze–36°C is developed to minimize this risk and provides reliable frost protection down to –36°C. The product also offers very high protection against freeze bursts in both plastic and metal installations.
