Stainless steel fork terminal from Blue Wave.

A terminal is used to secure the end of a wire rope so that the wire can only move in one direction. It can, for example, be used functionally to secure a structure, or architecturally for display purposes. In addition, they can be used to secure a mast in so-called stays, to stabilize the mast and therefore the boat.

Terminals are swaged onto the wire rope, meaning that a tool is used to clamp the terminal around the wire rope to secure it to an anchor point.

Danish Blue Wave manufactures its products from a block of stainless steel, meaning there are no welds and their products can therefore withstand additional load.
