Stainless steel fork terminal from Blue Wave.
A terminal is used to secure the end of a wire rope so that the wire can move in only one direction. It can, for example, be used functionally to tension a structure, or architecturally for display purposes. In addition, they can be used to tension a mast in so-called stays, to stabilize the mast and thereby the boat.
Terminals are swaged onto the steel wire, meaning that a tool is used to crimp the terminal around the wire to secure it to an anchoring point.
Danish Blue Wave manufactures its products from a block of stainless steel, meaning there are no welds and therefore their products can withstand additional load.
