Eye terminal in stainless steel from Blue Wave.
A terminal is used to hold the end of a wire rope in place, so that the wire can only move in one direction. It can, for example, be used functionally to secure a structure, or architecturally for display purposes. In addition, they can be used to secure a mast in so-called spars, to stabilize the mast and thus the boat.
Terminals are swaged onto the wire rope, i.e. using a tool, the terminal is compressed around the wire rope to secure it to an anchoring point.
Danish Blue Wave manufactures its products from a block of stainless steel, meaning there are no welds and their products can therefore withstand additional load.
