Yacht ensign with golden, embroidered YF letters. The split flag is made from the market's strongest woven flag fabric, 170 g/m². Supplied in a deep red madder red/navy red color. The yacht ensign may be flown by all Danish pleasure craft and rowboats. Comes in a nice cloth bag.

How is the flag size calculated? For a flagstaff, it is calculated that the leading edge of the flag should make up 2/3 of the flagstaff height. There are no fixed rules for flag size, but we recommend the sizes below.

History of the Yacht Ensign Highest resolution of 15 August 1865. Permission to fly the pleasure craft flag, which consists of the Danish naval ensign with the letters YF in gold in the upper square nearest the staff, is granted upon application by the Ministry of the Navy, but only for decked vessels. The application, which must be affixed with a stamp to the value of 65 øre, must be accompanied by the vessel's tonnage certificate or nationality and registration certificate. The yacht ensign confers no privileges whatsoever on the vessel with regard to port and ship dues. The permission to fly the yacht ensign, which is valid only until the vessel changes owner, and which must be kept on board and presented on request by the relevant authorities, is forfeited when the vessel is not used exclusively for pleasure sailing. In 1957, the requirement to apply for permission to fly the yacht ensign was abolished.
