How it works in the system HELM-1 works together with the NAC-1 or NAC-2 autopilot computer as the core of the system: NAC-1 acts as the “brain” of the system – it handles signals, steering and the interface to displays or compass sensors. With HELM-1, no external rudder feedback sensor is needed because feedback is built in. It connects with plug-and-play connectors, simplifying installation. Especially useful on boats with limited space or mechanical constraints.
