The block's sheaves/housing and wheel are precision-machined from high-strength aluminum alloy, then anodized for durability and corrosion resistance. The bearings and thrust washers are self-lubricating composite. SK99 Dyneema rope shackle with a "deadeye" for great strength and easy installation. The block's sheaves rotate to open the block and close with a spring-loaded ball lock.
