COMPLETELY WITHOUT THE USE OF TOOLS Full disassembly and reassembly can be carried out completely without the use of tools. To remove the drum, pull back the spring-loaded release pawl and a slight counterclockwise rotation will allow the self-tailing arm to be lifted off the winch. The drum can then be removed from the winch center shaft. When reassembling the winch, an audible click confirms that the self-tailing arm is in place on the center shaft.
