ULTRAFLEX engine control cables are made of plastic-coated stainless steel. Resistant to UV light, saltwater, and with outstanding flexibility, strength and smooth operation at all times. Meets all engine manufacturers' requirements and can, using special fittings, be adapted to almost all engines.
HOW TO DETERMINE HOW LONG YOUR CABLE NEEDS TO BE:
- Measure the distance from the center of your engine to the corner of the boat, line A.
- Then measure the distance from the center of your control box to the corner of the boat, line B.
- Then add the two lengths together (A+B), then add 3 feet so the cable is long enough for the engine to have full freedom of movement.
- Shift/throttle cable = total length.
