HOW TO DETERMINE HOW LONG YOUR CABLE NEEDS TO BE:
- Measure the distance from the centre of your engine to the corner of the boat, line A.
- Then measure the distance from the centre of your control box to the corner of the boat, line B.
- Then add the two lengths together (A+B), then add 3 feet so the cable is long enough for the engine to have full freedom of movement.
- Gear/throttle cable = total length.
