ULTRAFLEX engine control cables are plastic-coated stainless steel. Resistant to UV light and saltwater, with exceptional flexibility, strength and consistently smooth operation. Meets the requirements of all engine manufacturers and can be adapted to virtually all engines using special fittings.
HOW TO FIND OUT HOW LONG YOUR CABLE NEEDS TO BE:
- Measure the distance from the center of your engine to the corner of the boat, line A.
- Then measure the distance from the center of your control box to the boat's corner, line B.
- Then add the two lengths together (A+B), then add 3 feet so the cable is long enough for the engine to have full freedom of movement.
- Shift/throttle cable = total length.
